GESS Parent Academy x Nurturing Safety: Empowering Our Children Together
March saw another edition of our GPA workshop, gathering Preschool parents to impart practical strategies to supporting our children’s development in key areas. This is an important part of how GESS not only commits to student wellbeing and safeguarding on campus, but also share knowhow with parents.
Almost 20 parents joined the session, gaining insights to the concept of protective behaviours and why they are essential in early childhood development and learn about our Child Safe Curriculum, focusing on four key areas:
• My Relationships: Understanding healthy relationships and boundaries.
• My Body: Respecting and protecting one’s own body.
• My Feelings: Managing emotions in safe and healthy ways.
• My Environment: Learning the difference between safe and unsafe situations.
