Our journey of limitless learning
A working group consisting of members from the Board of Governors and the Senior Management team created a high level community engagement action plan.
Completion of our first meeting wherein the scope was defined and reiterated the need to retain our mission, vision, values and our German European DNA.
An independent consultant was commissioned to gather feedback through detailed surveys of our students, parents and staff, allowing the community to contribute to GESS’ strategic plan. About 800 members of our community took the time to share deep insights and aspirations.
In-person townhall meetings commenced to gather direct input from parents, students and staff, leading next to detailed focus groups. Findings from these community conversations helped establish the foundation of our strategic plan.
The cross functional teams reviewed all findings and feedback, and voted on key strategic decisions. The Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP) now incorporates input from the townhalls, community polls as well as recommendations from reports by BLI, CIS, and IB. Consensus was derived on strategic priorities and focus areas that would help GESS emerge as a world class holistic school while remaining true to our roots.
The Senior Leadership Team delivered the proposed Plan to the Board of Governors, which received unanimous approval.
The ‘Limitless Learning’ Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP) is formally unveiled in a townhall, prior to the AGM, by the Senior Leadership team.
After spending 6 months building in detail a five-year implementation plan, and preparing the school for exciting changes, our Limitless Learning is ready for implementation.
